ACADEMIC PROGRAM

We have a proven academic program based on inter- and interdisciplinary projects that develop logical-mathematical, language, science, and arts skills, while promoting communication, teamwork, and leadership.

INTERNATIONAL STANDARDS

We work and assess according to international standards such as Cognia, MAP, and NGSS, ensuring a high-quality academic education that prepares our students for future challenges.

LANGUAGES

We teach in three languages: Spanish, English, and French. English instruction begins in preschool, allowing students to reach a C1 level by the end of their schooling. French is introduced in primary school, using a variety of resources to strengthen language acquisition.

Preschool is a place full of joy and love, where we welcome children ages 2 to 5 in our Nursery, Pre-Kinder, and Kinder programs. Our main goal is to create experiences and spaces where children are happy while we support their development. We partner with families on their parenting journey, building strong emotional foundations for the future. We are in constant professional and personal growth to ensure our educational practices foster the development of well-rounded individuals.

OUR METHODOLOGY

LOVE

“Every process of growth and learning begins with an emotional bond. Day by day, we create spaces of connection between teachers and children, fostering a respectful, safe, and welcoming environment. We are aware that the first six years of a person’s life lay the emotional foundations for the future. Our program is based on developmental standards that support the growth of social and emotional skills in early childhood. We prioritize children’s emotional well-being at all times and support each child throughout their growth.

LIVE

At this stage, children learn and develop skills through their senses, hands-on manipulation, exploration, experimentation, and practice. Our project-based methodology allows children to learn through play and by doing. We make use of both indoor and outdoor spaces to create learning experiences where the child is the protagonist of each activity, enabling learning through interaction with their environment, peers, and teachers.

LEARN

Learning is at the center of every activity offered to children, guided and supported by the teachers’ constant accompaniment. The environment is intentionally designed to respect each child’s developmental stage and to encourage play and innate curiosity. Families are actively involved in this process as a fundamental pillar, enabling children to consolidate their learning and apply it at home as well.

ELEMENTARY

Our Elementary School focuses on building strong foundations for our students’ academic and socio-emotional development, fostering curiosity, creativity, and critical thinking. Through a multidisciplinary approach, our boys and girls participate in academic, athletic, and artistic activities that enhance their holistic learning.

From first grade onward, we incorporate innovative subjects such as STEM and Connections, designed to prepare our students for future challenges. In STEM, we combine science, technology, engineering, and mathematics with a hands-on approach, encouraging problem-solving through experimentation and logical thinking. Students work on projects that stimulate creativity and strengthen analytical skills.

Connections, on the other hand, is a space dedicated to the development of essential soft skills such as assertive communication, leadership, teamwork, emotional intelligence, and negotiation. Through interactive dynamics and reflective activities, students strengthen their self-esteem, learn to manage their emotions, and build positive relationships based on respect and empathy.

At Liceo Internacional, we seek to open the doors to the world by fostering the development of critical thinking and problem-solving skills in all our classes.

LANGUAJES

At Liceo, we offer a comprehensive language education program that includes Spanish, English, and French. We promote linguistic proficiency and intercultural communication from an early age, using dynamic and practical methodologies. Our students develop skills in each language through interactive activities, literature, and projects, preparing them for a globalized world and diverse academic and professional opportunities.

STUDENT COUNCIL – DECE

The well-being of our students is a top priority. The DECE focuses on their socio-emotional development, promoting positive coexistence, inclusion, and prevention. Through programs and workshops, it provides tools for growth within a safe environment. The team, made up of psychologists and social workers, addresses educational challenges within the RIT framework, ensuring effective interventions in collaboration with teachers. We believe this support prepares students to face future challenges with confidence.

SPORTS

Physical activity encourages the development of healthy habits and fosters values such as discipline, teamwork, perseverance, sportsmanship, respect, and honesty. We offer a variety of sports disciplines, practiced four days a week in elementary school and two days a week in secondary school, including soccer, basketball, athletics, handball, and volleyball. Through sports practice, we promote respect for differences and teach students to respond in a positive and balanced manner to both victory and defeat.

EXTRACURRICULARES

We offer our students the opportunity to participate in recreational, sports, artistic, and academic extracurricular activities. These activities take place from 2:40 p.m. to 3:45 p.m. in both elementary and secondary school. Students who choose to participate in extracurricular activities may also access optional cafeteria and transportation services.

CULTURAL AND ARTISTIC EDUCATION

Our program promotes artistic expression through visual arts, dance, theater, and music. Through these forms of expression, students channel their creativity, develop socio-emotional skills, and gain a deeper appreciation for cultural diversity. In addition, the arts contribute to the formation of more sensitive and empathetic individuals, providing an enriching experience that goes beyond the classroom.
